Hello:)

I wanted to give a little update!

I leave in a day (Saturday), which is SO CRAZY! I will be going to Georgia for training that will last through October, and then I will be off for international travel! While in Georgia, we will be preparing our hearts and bodies for ministry and evangelism as we camp in tents, and do sessions, devos, and worship to strengthen relationships with God and each other!

Now how am I feeling about all of this?

SO many mixed emotions haha. I have been met with grief wrapped in great joy. Grief as I say goodbye to those that I love so dearly, but great joy as I am SO excited to start a new chapter of my life.

I have learned a lot in this last month as I have been preparing and slowing down life a bit. Something that God continually reminds me is how important the now is. Right here is exactly where I am supposed to be. Not an hour earlier or an hour later, but exactly in His beautiful and perfect timing. I believe God has given me these past couple of weeks solely for the purpose of being. To sit with Him. If you guys know me, then you know I am not one to slow down. I like to do things ALL the time, so this has been a beautiful challenge to use my time wisely.

Another thing that the Lord has been teaching me is the meaning of home. I have come to realize that home is not a place, but rather a presence. The presence of the ones I love, but most importantly the presence of God in my life. Places change. People come and go as their seasons change, yet HE remains. Home means consistency, it means steadfast. The only thing in my life that is perfectly consistent is the Heavenly Father. While I am leaving Colorado, closing a huge chapter of my life, the place I call home, I am actually always completely at home because it is not a home bound by walls or a state, but instead bound by abundant love.

I will miss all the people and beautiful things that Colorado has, but I am beyond excited to see all the new interactions and new places I will encounter!

Thank you so much to everyone that has decided to be a part of my journey through supporting me! I would be unable to do this without your generosity!

Tomorrow I leave for my next chapter, my new adventure. And so NOW it begins!!

I loved your post about “home”– so true! Keep pushing into God! I know he LOVES that you are doing this!! Have you read the book “Moving Mountains” by John Eldredge– a must read if you have any quiet moments– Libby app has it.. He does a wonderful job explaining about spiritual warfare. I am sure you are already experiencing it but this is a great read to equip you more to help fight this battle all around us!
