I usually choose a specific word or thing to focus on for every new year, and this year my main focus is growth. I truly believe that when you are in a situation outside of your comfort zone, it is a perfect opportunity for growth. I find myself so often staying where I am content because it is familiar, but there is something so beautiful about choosing the uncomfortable situation. I have found continual growth in my life when I choose to seek the discomfort. It allows me to challenge my faith and draw closer to God. This year I am hopeful to grow in any opportunity I am given, and by going on this trip, I am putting myself completely out of my comfort zone. I am going to allow God to sustain my uncertainty, and choose to take every opportunity that I am given. When looking at an uncomfortable situation with a positive mindset, any worry is overcome with peace, which allows growth to take hold of the situation. I am so excited to see how I grow in myself and my relationship with God as I seek Him in any challenge that comes my way in this next year!
